Producers Circle

Production Supervision, Project Management & Accounting, Client Representation, Scheduling & Budget Supervision

The year was a busy one, with three Six Flags Glow In The Park parades opening in 2008, and two more now open in 2009. The production team for these parades consists of over 20 dedicated producers and managers who ensure that the parades are complete, rehearsed and operating each and every day for Six Flags parks in New Jersey, St, Louis, Dallas, New England and Mexico. At the same time, a separate team of producers oversaw the construction of the re-imagined Monster Mansion dark ride at Six Flags Over Georgia. Originally designed and produced by Gary Goddard Productions in 1981, the project was the first ride outside of a Disney park to employ sophisticated audio-animatronic figures on such a massive scale. The newly enhanced ride, re-designed by original creators Gary Goddard and Phil Mendez, opened in May 2009. As with every Goddard Group project, the ride exceeded expectations while opening on time and on budget. This is the hallmark of the Producers Circle and is the foundation for everything we undertake. The Producers Circle manages the process much like a modern day motion picture studio, allowing our team of producers, project managers and production supervisors to assemble a team of high quality art directors, costume and scenic fabricators, lighting, audio and special effects directors and the full complement of production personnel necessary to bring our designs to life. As you can see from the examples on these pages, whether it is theme parks, retail malls, live attractions or unique resorts, our attention to detail is constant and our work is second to none.

“I have worked with Gary for over twenty years now, and I know going in that every new project will have something that’s never been done before. But we like that. We like taking new ideas and seeking solutions that will let us bring these fantastic concepts to life. Our Producers Circle is schooled in the overriding idea that the creative director leads the project and that the producers are here to support that vision. It’s always been like that with Gary. In a very real sense, we work in the producing traditions of the motion picture and Broadway theatre industries. The director supplies the vision, and the producer supplies the resources and organization to bring that vision to life. We also apply the necessary guidance to ensure that our work meets the schedule and budgetary parameters of each project. I’m proud to say that from the founding of Gary Goddard Entertainment, every project we have been responsible for has been delivered on time and on budget. But equally important, we delivered a quality product. It’s not enough to make a deadline if your production quality is inferior. We never forget that. For us, achieving success means that we create great attractions while maintaining a positive working relationship with our clients, vendors and suppliers at every level of production and performance.”
