This year has been an outstanding one for us, with a number of exciting and dynamic productions taking shape. From our massively successful Glow In The Park parades at the Six Flags theme parks in Mexico, New Jersey, and New England, to the current Broadway productions of Hair and Neil LaBute’s Reasons to be Pretty, we are expanding our commitment to live entertainment through an ever increasing slate of new productions. The Live Entertainment division of The Goddard Group has been expanding its reach with a wide variety of unique and memorable shows and events starting with our sold-out production of Jesus Christ Superstar in late 2006. This star-studded event featured Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, Barry Dennen, Ben Vereen, Clint Holmes and Jack Black.

In the works now are several more Broadway productions including Twist!, our own musical spin on Oliver Twist which presents a multiracial tale set in New Orleans during Prohibition. In partnership with Willette Klausner (Three
Mo’ Tenors), featuring a musical score by Grammy Award-winning composer/producer Tena Clark, and book by Bill Brown (The Wiz), Twist promises to be an exciting Broadway event in 2011. Moreover, we are now developing Lords Of Magic, a new special effects spectacular for Las Vegas; a large scale stunt spectacular for Six Flags based upon a major action motion picture property; a new touring show, and, of course, the Glow In The Park parades which will continue to expand to even more Six Flags parks in 2010 and beyond.

“We approach live entertainment with a dedicated focus on creating visionary work. Whether we are partners on a Broadway show or working to create “the next big thing” for a theme park or arena, we see live entertainment as a dynamic medium without limits. Gary and I have been working together in the legitimate theatre for over thirty years, co-producing Broadway productions like Sherlock’s Last Case starring Frank Langella, the Tony Award-winning Tru starring Robert Morse, and the hit musical, Jekyll & Hyde. We practically invented the live touring arena family show with our productions of The Masters of the Universe Power Tour and The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Coming Out of Their Shells Tour. Both of these productions opened with record-breaking runs at Radio City Music Hall. Our 1992 production of Jesus Christ Superstar, with stars Ted Neeley and Carl Anderson, ran for over four years, becoming one of the most successful touring productions in North American theatrical history. This year we return to Broadway with the revival of the Tony Award-winning Hair and Neil LaBute’s Tony Nominated Play, Reasons to be Pretty. Combined with our upcoming productions for Las Vegas and our continuing parades and live shows for Six Flags, we are in the midst of the most exciting and dynamic time for live entertainment in the history of our company.”
