Captain Power premieres nationwide allowing a generation of kids to “Power On” with unique Mattel Toys that let them interact with the television series. As the first show to combine live action film with CGI-created villains, and with its interactive elements written into the show, the program was one of the most ambitious ever attempted. Rogers & Ebert said “Captain Power is well made; I think you can see they really spent some money on special effects, and in the dialogue, there’s some real drama.”
